Provincial Nominee Business Programs

Do you (including your spouse) have a minimum of 300,000CAD* in personal net worth?
Can you invest a minimum of $100,000CAD* in setting up your Canadian business in its first year?
Do you have experience running your own business, or managing someone else’s?
Are you able to make an exploratory visit to Canada?
Can you actively manage that business from Canada, up to 75% of the time?

This is a path to permanent residency. There are a variety of programs where a Canadian province will nominate you for permanent residency if you set up a new business, or acquire an existing business (or part of one). Typically you need to fulfill your commitments to investment and job creation while on a temporary permit in your first year, then the province nominates you for permanent residency. You must actively manage your business and be willing to spend up to 75% of your time in Canada. You’ll have more options, if, in the IELTS General Training test, you can score at least 5 in listening, speaking and writing, and 4 in reading.
