British Columbia invites more candidates with job offers in key tech occupations

British Columbia issued 26 new invitations to apply for a provincial nomination through its tech pilot program in a draw that took place on June 20.
 
British-ColumbiaThe new invitations were issued to candidates under the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) who have a full-time indeterminate valid job offer in one of the its Tech Pilot's 32 eligible occupations.
 
The BC PNP introduced the Tech Pilot in 2017 to attract and retain skilled workers and international graduates of Canadian post-secondary institutions with skills required by the province's technology sector.
 
Candidates invited under BC's Express Entry-aligned streams, such as the EEBC - Skilled Worker and EEBC - International Graduate streams, obtain 600 additional points under the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) if their application for provincial nomination is approved.
 
Candidates selected under theSkills Immigration categories will have their applications for permanent residence processed outside theExpress Entry system if they receive a successful nomination from the province.
 
Individuals interested in immigrating to Canada through the BC PNP must first submit an online profile with theBC PNP's Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS) and complete all sections of the registration form.
 
Once a profile is assessed, applicants receive a score based on education, work experience, and other factors.

The minimum scores for each category involved in the June 20 draw were as follows:
